Beige is de rigeur here in SoCal. Santa Cruz is more laid-back (surprise!) and has Victorians painted silly colors, and Venice Beach has an ordinary townhouse with a door painted Bright! Screaming! Yellow!

I’d paint my own house purple or blue if I weren’t quite so lazy. Maybe someday.
