It’s forcing some reluctant instructors to take a feeble step or two onto the path (with the e’er-receding horizon) toward technological competence, but basically it’s wasted; people are being only slightly more enabled than they otherwise would have. From my not-tech-educated perspective, the things done with WebCT could be done better in other ways, and it has not improved my experience with the school. Having read your commentary, I think I understand better what the package is used for, and I’m left wondering why Simmons didn’t locate something more fulfilling to fill those roles.
