what do you do
…when you’re feeling restless? How do you release that energy? What do you usually do? What would you prefer to do? How often do those coincide?

If I am restless, I generally end up just doing things – it doesn’t matter. It can be something as productive as cleaning house/straightening up my desk at work/putting stuff away in the basement. With the weather warming up, I am hoping that will translate to gardening, but I am not holding my breath. I would like to turn this in to exercise really – that if I am restless, that I hop on a bike. I’ve sort of started doing this on a small scale, with other things.
You know what I do a lot of when I am feeling restless? Jumping jacks. Earns me lots of strange looks.

Outside and walk. This is my solution to a lot of problems. When I’m walking my brain can focus on a problem or focus on something completely trivial and diverting — whichever is needed.
Plus, if I walk far enough, I will eventually be near a bookstore or a place that sells dessert.
