reminders of power.
It’s been raining on and off for hours, but (and? – this is, after all, New England) it’s surprisingly warm: 44 degrees F, or about 7 C.
So I opened the window, if not the mesh screen. Mostly for the cats: Aki misses being able to go outside onto the roof, like he did in Providence. But the howling wind is tugging at my heart strings.
Soon it will be time to visit the ocean again.

Well, now it’s 11:00 AM, and if you haven’t stuck your head outside do so.
“And” is correct. I figure a wave of very confused moist air has gotten lost on the way from Tennessee to Georgia, and is now flailing around and condensing as it cools off and tries to figure out why it’s surrounded by Canadians.
